The Voices in your Head

What an inspiring meeting we had!  Even though the group was considerably smaller than normal, nevertheless everyone contributed positively to discussions and we learned from each other.

We all have voices in our heads.  This is our inner voice, our gut instinct or in other words, our inner guidance system, if you will.  But sometimes that voice gets drowned out by all the noise in the world like peer pressure, work stress or our own feeling like inadequacies.  Imagine how powerful we can become if we listen to that voice.

We had three speakers for the night.

Speaker #1: Michelle Lalitha
Michelle did her ice breaker speech and what a refreshing take on this assignment it was.  Rather than doing a speech about herself, she told a story about hope and strength of bamboo that is stronger than steel.

Speaker #2: Angelov Tan
Angelov did the third assignment of his Pathways Level 1 which is the research project.  His speech about controlling the stray population was certainly very well research and informative.  We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him for completing his Pathways Level 1.

Speaker #3: Aw Win Chan
This is the second time Win Chan did his speech at Gurney Hydro and as are glad to host such a knowledgeable speaker again.  Win Chan talked about mentoring and how he got the commitment from his mentees to stick with the program.  This is something that is a good reminder for everyone because committing to something that does not directly contribute to the pockets is something that many people fail to stick to.

First time Table Topics Master Angelov prepared some very easy but still very much thought provoking questions for the attendees.  Our guests and members gave it their best shot and it was a very fun learning experience for some of them.

Thank you very much to all who made the effort to join us and hope to see you at our next meeting!
